Systems Engineer
Job description:
Duties:

To be responsible for the overall functionality of the car and its components as well as the correct integration and communication between the subsystems in the car.

To be heavily involved in the Driver in the Loop (DIL) running and Hardware in the Loop running in order to develop, test and validate the systems and subsystems of the car.

Support calibration, tuning, and validation of control algorithms using HIL/SIL platforms, rig testing, and on-track data.

Integrate control systems with vehicle control unit (VCU) and data acquisition systems via CAN, Ethernet, or other protocols.

Perform diagnostics, fault handling, and software debugging using telemetry and onboard logging tools.

Ensure compliance with motorsport regulations (e.g., FIA rules, Powertrain constraints, VCU constraints).

Get involved in the Ops Room (Mission Control) for supporting the Race Team at the track side during the events when not attending the track side.
Knowledge and skills:
-
Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position being responsible for the Systems of a race car.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Self-motivated, proactive, solution focused attitude.

Extensive knowledge of data acquisition, data analysis, and statistical analysis.

Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and code generation (e.g., Simulink Coder, Embedded Coder).

Experience on embedded C programming and/or model-based development is required.

Experience and knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and WinTAX/SYSMA.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement required.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

Familiarity with vehicle networks (CAN) and communication protocols.
