They are heavily involved in race preparation, live race car support and post event analysis. It is a data driven discipline where the perfect correlation of the simulations and the real car is always the objective.

Duties:

  • Help to deliver performance to the race car through simulation tools usage and development.

  • To develop simulation tools across a wide range of topics such as Energy Management, Tyres, Vehicle Dynamics, Lap Sims, etc.

  • Help to run and operate the driver in the loop simulator sessions.

  • Help to develop tools for the driver in the loop simulator.

  • Responsible for managing and developing the setup management tool used in the racing team.

  • Responsible for running all the pre-event offline simulations and analysis.

  • Get involved in the Ops Room (Mission Control) for supporting the Race Team at the track side during the events.

  • Contribute to the coding/maintenance/development of models of the race car.
