Along with powertrain and aerodynamics, tyres are among the group of highest dominating factors to vehicle performance.  

Extracting maximum performance from tyre preparation and usage is therefore key in motorsports and also successful high end road car applications.

PCEMS have advanced knowledge of tyre testing on rig and track/road testing including use of flat trac and wheel force transducers. Predicting performance criteria, reaction to micro/macro change and degradation cycling being the outcome of these test cases.

Interpretation of these results is also key to deliver accurate thermo-mechanical tyre modelling for use in offline simulation and simulators.
